Dear Mr. Ambassador

On behalf of the helpless Nuba people of Sudan, one of the most downtrodden and invisible people of the world today, Nuba Survival Foundation would like to express our support for the Naivasha Agreement, which will hopefully bring an end to the long and bitter civil war in Sudan. However, we would like also to reiterate and express our extreme concern over the settlement reached in the Naivasha Agreement regarding the Nuba Mountains Region. We believe that the Protocol has failed to address the Nubas' political issue for which they took up the armed struggle, fighting alongside the SPLA for more than eighteen years against central government in Khartoum to achieve justice, equality, democracy and basic civil rights.
